What would the effect be if Tamerlane depopulated much of Anatolia both from Greeks and Turks, Muslims and Christians?
Would we see the Armenians and Turks recolonise the Anatolian highland, would the Ottomans recolonise it with Slavs, Vlachs, Greeks and maybe Arabs?
Beside how would a depopulated Anatolia affect the Ottomans, would it keep them from dominating the Middle East, giving the Mamluk Sultanate a lease on life, and leave Mesopotania, Kurdistan and maybe even Syria in Persian hands?
