You gaze upon the starry-eyed visionary who has had the moral courage to shamelessly steal Hendryk's idea.
Yes - I've been thinking about this for a while ever since I finished the Jacobin Wars arc in LTTW and I think now may be the time. LTTW has already had some fan input in that Nicksplace27 wrote most of the South African segments and Umbric Man suggested a lot of place names in America among others so there is precedent.
I have now written about a century's worth of timeline from 1727 to ~1827, and a story could be set at any point in that time - or several, in fact, if you want to follow a family through the generations perhaps.
The way this would work is this:
1. Come up with idea for short story (say 2,000-10,000 words)
2. PM me with idea so I can approve it or advise you of modifications
3. Write it
4. Send it to me so I can edit it
5. I post them on a weekly or fortnightly basis crediting you as the author of course
6. You get a free cameo in LTTW or one of my other works. And I promise not to burn your house down and kill your family at all.
So, any interest? If at least five people express the desire to participate I'll run with this. I'll also write some myself as I need to work on my short story techniques.
