Swedish Jamaica

I was reading Louis XIV's biography which I got as a Christmas present when I noticed this interesting bit (translated from Finnish):

(Duke) Buckinham had made at the same time a deal with Sweden's Gustav II Adolf about the conquest of Jamaica for Sweden - he was to get 10% of all gold which was shipped from there. Jamaica's conquest didn't happen because the duke was murdered soon after the deal.

So, how would Swedish Jamaica affect things in the Caribbean? And would there be any differences how England develops if it doesn't have the island?

Either the English slave trade would be curtailed, or there would be a lot more Africans being sent to the Atlantic colonies.

This is assuming that they could capture it without Spain coming back to retake it, just as it seriously thretened to do not that long after the English took it. It also assumes that the English, French or Dutch don't jump on the opportunity and try to grab it from Sweden, which they almost certainly would, especially if Sweden got into any kind of war back in Europe.

Then again, maybe I'm underestimating Sweden's ability to defend a colony.
