Is there any chance the Prequel Trilogy of Star Wars would get rebooted after Lucas dies (or even sooner) to provide a more coherent, superior prequels?
As part of a total reboot of the entire Star Wars saga it may happen eventually (if you live long enough change that to probably) But keep Episodes 4-6 and redo 1-3 ain't going to happen.

I agree. Even if they do reboot only one trilogy, they'll reboot the OT, not the PT. Ever since the prequels, the Star Wars franchise is designed for selling toys. Honouring the legacy comes second. I rather doubt that the sale to Disney is going to improve that.
replace Haydeen Christiansen with... someone else, maybe either Nikolaj Coster Waldau or Chris Pine
Almost ANYONE else would be better, though the writing would be hard for anyone to make it look good. Ultimately, the way that role played out was (for me) THE worst thing in the whole series of movies -- worse than the Ewoks, Jar Jar, etc. His actions and behavior simply weren't believable from someone who had years of Jedi training in self-discipline, self-control, helping others, etc. He came off as an annoying whiny teenager with no discipline at all who believes obvious lies and does stupid and illogical things.
The whole thing was like a train wreck. You knew he was going to wind up as Vader, but it was one stupid thing after another to get him there and I couldn't stop watching.

No. As reviled as the prequels are, they're part of the Star Wars canon and they're not going anywhere. Disney will absolutely marginalize their presence moving forward, with the sequel trilogy, the Anthology films, the "new" EU and all, but they're not going to reboot the prequels.
At least, not until after 2053 when they reboot the original films.

At least The Clone Wars TV series somewhat redeemed Jar-Jar...
