Surviving Islamic State in Iberia, POD post-1400

This a challenge. POD post-1400 where an Islamic state in Iberia survives in some form to the present day.

I don't know enough about the time period to write up something credible, so I'm interested to know what is possible... :)

the 1491 (IIRC) Treaty of Granada is more favorable to the Kingdom of Granada and allows it to retain independence as a vassal of Castile-Leon. the ultra-catholic fever doesn't happen in Spain, and the expulsion of Moors and Jews doesn't happen. thus Granada remains a weak vassal of Spain, surviving with a boring, uneventful history up until the present day.

By 1491 the kingdom of Granada is just Granada city itself and Queen Isabella has promised to not take a shower till the Castilian banner raises over the Alhambra. Her husband is not going to tolerate a softer treaty. ;)

This scenario probably requires Spain to continue divided and with bad feelings between the main Christian kingdoms, allowing Granada to play each one against the others. Martin I of Aragon fathering a child before his death in 1410 could achieve this, as the Aragonese wouldn't elect a member of the Castilian House of Trastamara to occupy the vacant throne.

I do not think that even a divided Spain would mean a surviving islamic state in Granada. The threat that the existence of Granada combined with the Ottoman power was something that nobody could ignore. Moreover taking into consideration that Granada had survived more than a century because it was more expensive to take her than to allow her existence.

Iberia

It would need to be larger than just Granada. Had the Muslims won at Las Navas de la Tolsa, things may have turned out differently. Then the Muslims could have retained Seville and Cordova, in addition to Granada.

Keep Castille and Aragon apart, the two fronts and lack of naval power could keep the former from bothering with a third front.

Hold the line, I can see. Reconquest? Not a chance with the supply lines from one end of the Med to the other.
