Supreme Court POD: obscenity protected Free Speech

what if Miller v. California went the other way, so rathe than a 5-4 Holding that said that obscenity was not protected by the First Amendment, we get a 5-4 Holding that said that obscenity was protected by the First Amendment, what happens and what does the US look like today (saying it isn't over turned) 38 years latter?

Well, one does wonder what it would mean, but the full implications are hard to know. Presumably there will be later rulings though delineating more clearly protected obscenity versus unprotected obscenity.
