Suppose they rename the CSA capital....

Suppose they decided to rename Richmond to something else, more Confederate I guess.

What would they rename it for?

What would work would be the Confederate capital being moved to the outskirts of Richmond and Richmond continuing on as capital of Virginia. The new capital can be named anything. Sort of like Brazil moving its capital from Rio to Brasilia, but just not that far.

Well the Confederates still saw George Washinton as their founding father, since he was a Virginian. And Jefferson Davis was the literal founding father of The CSA. So i was thinking either...

A: Washington DD (District of Davis)

or

B: Davis DW (District of Washington).

I think Calhoun could be a good choice. I don't think the Confederate founding fathers would name it after Washington (too confusing, what with that also being the name of the Union's capital.)

Maybe Calhoun or Leesburg or Leeville or something like that (Robert E. Lee would probably be more revered than Jefferson Davis. Or maybe Johnston after Albert Sidney Johnston, the great Confederate martyr.)

And if it were to become a federal district (which may bug some of the more anti-federalist Rebs) it would probably be D.D.: District of Dixie.
