Summer 1940- The Soviet reconquest of British-occupied Alaska

Bleh, I apologize, I misread your post. I thought you had denied it. My mistake.

Still, there is a certain action of the hand that you have professed dislike for that I have a sad feeling you're falling in to...

The Japanese has lost several engagments and have lost all will to fight the Soviets and Germans are right now marching to eliminate last French strongholds.

No. I still think your lecture was moronic.

I merely explained the way I have always believed the butterfly effect is supposed works. Either I was incorrect (in which case, any experts on the effect feel free to call me out) or you're calling the beliefs of a number of AH.Coms most valued and longstanding contributors, as well as their works, moronic.

Good job.

Duh. *waves hands frantically*

Could British Empire afford both belligerent Germany and Soviet Union? I thought not. Though I agree that I did not give enough thought to Japan.

My own answer to that question in OP is make peace with Germany, btw.

Again-an admission of handwaving.

Well, the main fronts with the Soviets would be India (bad idea-the BIA was large, well-trained, had no desire to live under the Soviets, and would be operating on very, very favorable terrain) and, possibly Alaska. So why is Stalin, who as I said never started a war with a Great Power, attacking two on a ridiculously inhospitable battlefield thousands of miles away from the Russian heartland, ignoring the huge threat that's right next door (Germany won't be in France forever)?

It seems out of character. Almost as if the creator of this universe if waving his hand to create a desired set of circumstances, despite his professed hatred for said action...
