depends on who comes to power. But probably not. Even without Nasser, there still would've been a lot of bloodshed. But I'm pro-Nasser, so I thinnk of him pretty highly![]()
It would have at least discouraged them as British retention of the Canal Zone would have essentially blocked the possibility of significant Egyptian involvement in those wars. I think that Britain may decide to hold on to Suez indefinitely in the aftermath of the war.
