(Tentative TL. Plausible?)

Had that torpedo not been a dud at the RMS Lusitania, the Great War would've worked out much differently. Perhaps then the USA would've entered. However, this has not been so, and the USA never entered World War 1. The war itself ended in a stalemate, as the sides wore themselves out. Russia became the Soviet Union, and Western Europe entered decay.

The countries decayed from massive war debt, and the slaughter of so many men. They also faced massive cultural decline, as the Great War had robbed many men of their previous beliefs, becoming the, "Lost Generation." This generation soon found other ideals appealing, some on the radical left, others on the radical right.

This would all explode in the period of 1923 to 1925, as war debt still had not been paid, and more importantly, economic conditions had continued to deteriorate, resulting in a series of revolts that would change Europe.

Germany experienced a Communist Revolution, supported by the Soviet Union, and opposed by the state paired with radical right factions. The Civil War would carry on for two years, eventually ending in a victory for the Communists, from having Soviet support.

England had already been declining into Fascism, an ideal come up by a man named Mussolini in Italy. He had been killed by a Communist in 1920 however, and the Italian Fascist movement collapsed with him. However, the ideals had caught on in England, leading to a Fascist revolt occurring in 1923, that resulted in victory for Fascism in 1925.

While those two occurred, France experienced its own revolution, again falling Italy's pattern, but of a different sort. With the defeat of Fascism, Italy had become Syndicalist. Following the example set with a successful strike, France entered into its own Syndicalist Revolution. Once again, started in 1923, and ending in 1925. Italy experienced its own revolt, which ended in 1921. The revolution was a success, despite the resistance of the right wing in France's south.

Once all the revolts had struck, the US entered turmoil. None of them would be paying back their loans, being new governments, and the resulting defaults sent the American economy into a massive downward spiral.
