IOTL Alfonso the Magnaninous ruled the various kingdoms of the Crown of Aragon, but his reign was mainly focused on his Italian possessions. The Iberian and Balearic part of the Crown of Aragon was ruled for him by his brother. Alfonso didn't leave legitimate heirs, but he made sure that his bastard son Ferdinand succeeded him in the kingdom of Naples; his (Alfonso's) brother inherited the other kingdoms of the Crown of Aragon.

WI Alfonso made arrangements, that Ferdinand could also succeed him in the other 'Italian' kingdoms Sicily (or Trinacria) and Sardinia (&Corsica)?
Since he was so concerned with his Italian possesions, he might just try to give all these possesions to his house.
Would that be possible? I do realize that this will be harder than Napels, since Naples was only acquired during the reign of Alfonso. However at least Naples (Sicily) Sardinia-Corsica and Sicily* (Trinacria) were papal fiefs (*= I looked that up).
Might Alfonso be able to persuade the papacy (as feudal overlord of these kingdoms) to allow this?
