Succession of Alfonso the Magnanimous WI

IOTL Alfonso the Magnaninous ruled the various kingdoms of the Crown of Aragon, but his reign was mainly focused on his Italian possessions. The Iberian and Balearic part of the Crown of Aragon was ruled for him by his brother. Alfonso didn't leave legitimate heirs, but he made sure that his bastard son Ferdinand succeeded him in the kingdom of Naples; his (Alfonso's) brother inherited the other kingdoms of the Crown of Aragon.

WI Alfonso made arrangements, that Ferdinand could also succeed him in the other 'Italian' kingdoms Sicily (or Trinacria) and Sardinia (&Corsica)?
Since he was so concerned with his Italian possesions, he might just try to give all these possesions to his house.
Would that be possible? I do realize that this will be harder than Napels, since Naples was only acquired during the reign of Alfonso. However at least Naples (Sicily) Sardinia-Corsica and Sicily* (Trinacria) were papal fiefs (*= I looked that up).
Might Alfonso be able to persuade the papacy (as feudal overlord of these kingdoms) to allow this?

Well I read about Alfonso, who had reign focussed on Italy, leaving Naples to his bastard son Ferdinand (Ferrante) and wondered if he could have left all Aragonese ''Italian'' possessions, which were papal fiefs (so the pope, as feudal overlord, could sanction such a succession), to his bastard son. Would that have been possible?
Would the pope welcome it, or wouldn't they like a king, which was even more focussed on Italy? What would have been the implications for Italy?

hmmm no one is interested, although admittedly this would have been more plausible if Alfonso had a legitimate son (but under such a scenario Alfonso's brother would take the crown from his nephew in the regions were he already was regent...)
