Succesful Brythonic Revolt

Okay ive drawn up basic plans for an idea of a successful Brythonic Revolt against Roman Rule, these are just rough-rough drafts and are subject to change. Ultimately this shakes Rome to the core and becomes weaker and more unstable than OTL.

60 A.D- There is no battle of Walting Street, instead Sutionous's Legios is ambushed and destroyed in the heart of OTL England. Bouddica is recognized as queen by most of the southern British Tribe. The destruction of Roman Britain sends shock waves through the Roman World. The Icenaic Dynasty begins and will last until 134.

65. A.D- After the great fire of Rome and other failures Nero is deposed and killed, Servius Gabla becomes emperor

67 A.D- Servius Gabla personally leads a large incursion into Britain to regain lost honor and to as quote from tactius "teach the savages" landing on OTL Kent, however due to poor weather conditions the expedition force returns to Gaul by Winter.

68-71 A.D- Jewish Revolts take place as in OTL.

73 A.D- Gabla again attacks Britain with three legions he makes some success against an war band that was perhaps 20,000 strong near the Thames River.

73-75 A.D - The British under Boudicca's eldest daughter pursue a strategy of guerrilla war against the Romans slowly sapping the three legions. Gabla is mysteriously murdered, the expedition is abandoned. Lustiania Governor Otho becomes Emperor of Rome

70's-100's- Boudicca eldest daughter unites the entirety of England, Cornwall and Wales under her rule, uniting the Britons into a single state for the first time in history. She establishes economic alliances with Hibernia and Caledonia. She never marries but their speculation that she had a number of children. When her rule ends in perhaps 88 CE? A possible child of her's by the name of Lugerbrinous becomes King of the Britons, taking advantage of a chaos within Rome Lugerbrinous directs raids on the Northern Gaulish Coast and even make contacts with sympathetic Celts within Gaul

100's-110's a descendent daughter of Lugubrious becomes queen most likely a niece , she subdues rouge Pitcs tribes in Southern Caledonia. She continues aggressive anti Roman polices set off by Lugubrious.

The Icenaic Dynasty upon Boudicca's death in 71?

An interesting PoD, not one that I've ever heard used before.I see nothing ASB about the general scenario. I think Boudicca definitely could have won in the right circumstances. I think that the unification might've come a little fast, though.

I'll definitely be paying attention to this one :)

I am wondering if this British Brition could last for centuries through different dynasties or perhaps even millennia. I could see different cycles of fragmentation and unification. I could see a national beacucracy forming in a few centuries- infrastructure construction perhaps and more. I could see Ogham writing systems playing a very big part in British History.

What will become of Rome I am not entirely sure yet.. except it will decline faster than in OTL.
Thanks for your interest.

134- After decades of succession struggles within the Roman Empire and wars with the Dacias. Son of Vespasian (Senator Consul) Domitocous leads another invasion upon Britain.AIRELL last king in the Icenic Dynasty dies fighting the Romans near OTL Reading.

An British Cantiaci Man named Cornavii supposedly visits Judea, while he is inspired by their courage in battle he finds their conservative and monotheistic customs strange. His story is recorded in Brythonic Literature most prominently in "The Tale of the ends of the earth"

150-230- These years are considered a golden age of Old Britain, Britain under the Lordship of the Duriotuk Dynasty is peaceful and creates a powerful sense of national unity. Small towns develop on the River Thames and turn into trading cities by the early 3rd century.

157- Rome reconquers Judea, under Emperor Verus Marxius,

160-178- Great Roman-Parthian War, Provoked by Verus the war drags on into a stalemate fundamentally damaging the economies of both nations.

210- The construction and carving of the Edra-a -ghola begins, supposedly a statue of a nameless mistress finished on the Southern Coast of Brythonica (Britain) it will remain intact until the 14th century.

225?- The last leader of the Domtirox Union mysteriously dies an early death, the tribal council always used for legislative matters for the past century and the half fails to come up with a compromise solution, Warring Chieftains Claim power and control over Caledonia is lost.

Early 3rd Century- Rome continues to decline into crisis many Brythonics migrate over the English Channel to establish new lives in North Western Gaul which in modern days will be called Brittney. Roman Maximus Thrax consolidates his control of Italy, Iberia and Southern Gaul.

I don't what the chances of the Picts making it all the way over to distant wartorn Judea.

But i think your correct to suppose that the Brythons would have invaded Gaul in Rome's retreat. It's also highly unlikely that the Germanic tribes would have invaded Briton in such great numbers as there would have been no reason for them to be invited in, or a power vacuum. That is if the Brythons stayed stable. There's still almost 200 years until the germanic invasions.

A single man could possibly make the journey, he might not even cross the Roman Empire.

You do have a point with the saxons though
Historically there was Saxon attacks on Britain in the 3rd century however see here:

274- After massive pay offs the Britons withdraw from Italy across the Alps and make a presence in Southern Gaul.

299- The Zoroastrian Persian Empire terminates the peace of Antioch (signed in 242) and launches a massive invasion on OTL Turkey and sends a large fleet to Perguaunem, Rhodes and Byzantium.

301- Zeno is killed near the site of Old Troy by Persian King Shapur III

301- The Persians cross the Bosporus and engage in a massive shock attack upon Greece. Italy falls into chaos and disorder, Spain meanwhile declares independence from Rome and establishes it's own kingdom

I doubt that the Parthians could have reached Rome, that would be like the modern day US successfully conquering an a slightly more advance country on a different planet.

302- A son of a noble man Constanaious becomes emperor, internal chaos insues as Persian Phobia takes hold of Italy. Constanious is assassinated by a league of senators and an oligarchy is put into place. Rome makes a humiliating peace with Sasssaid Persia giving up Turkey, Syria and most of greece. Rome now consist of Sicily, the Italian Mainland, Lyrria, Eprius, and fragments of southern gaul and the East Iberian Coast.

The Red Represents the rements of the Roman Empire now directed by three strong men (Licinus. Arguris and Germanicus) which work together almost purely for defense instead of local governing. By this year much of the infrastructure praised from the golden first century of imperial Rome has fallen into disrepair due to political chaos

Queen Boudicca
Prologue

To understand modern Europe we must travel back thousands of years to the older "classical times" an era in which half of the continent was controlled by one breathtaking nation- that of Rome. After centuries of cut throat wars and mass, she was if only for a short time the master of the western world. At the height of her power she was still optimistic even after the great Germanic Disaster that had occurred over half a century before.

Under the timid emperor Claudius Rome set her sights on an island exotic, far reaching and according to some nonexistent. After a few initial invasions and the old strategy of pitting one tribe against the other Rome had seemed to had established stable dominion over Southern Britain. The locals were paying taxes, roads were being built and new cites were growing.

It looked like Britain would grow up to be a useful ordered apprentice to the Roman Civilization.

And then suddenly it all came shattered apart, the new shining cities were burned, the garrisons were slaughtered and any one simply suspected of helping the Romans became the newest victims of Drudian Magic.

Your average citizen looks at this perplexed and asks why did it all unravel so badly?

This is the story of a one woman and her daughters that grew into the pride of an entire nation. This is the story of Boudicca.
