Alright, I've been constructing a timeline based off of the idea of Vikings conquering Nekor and eventually adopting Berber culture and cavalry that starts in 859.
This leads to the conquering of the entire Morrocan Rif and modern Andulucia. Cordoba collapses into the taifas early, and Portugal is split up into small Viking kingdoms(unrelated).
In 870, the surrounded and small kingdom of Lisbon sends out ships to see if there is any more land out there. When they find the Azores(about as far as they can go), they claim they found the outskirts of Atlantis, reviving the old legend. Eventually Nekor(the PoD Vikings) go down the Canary Current and find the islands, settling there.
Both nations continue down the current and end up in the Carribean and the coast with around 12K men in total, ending up in the Maya(small trading but mostly assimilation and exploration), Rio Grande(Think English settlers, but eventually can't send back), Cuba(Assimilation), and the Mississippi culture(Vinland).
Is this too ASB for the times? If not, would they just assimilate with, possibly, the exception of the Rio Grande Norse-Berbers?
