Stronger United Nations

Maybe a history of the UN actually fielding a series of successful military campaigns? Say, a collapse of China after Maoism goes full silly or something along those lines brings about a constant standing UN force that stands up well in terms of quality?

The two main problems with the United Nations are that firstly the UNSC and others undermine (at times) attempts by the UN to enforce the Charter and secondly it does not have the military means to enforce the charter on its own.

Hence the body is a joke and thus the resolutions and international laws its issues cannot be taken seriously if they clash with one nations interests.

To address the first point you cannot have any nation have the right to veto an action by the UN at the very least and to address the second, you need to have the likes of the USA, Britain, France and their respective Empires hand over their complete armed forces in return for a protection guarantee from the UN (how it would be done is another matter), since the USSR and their allies would object to this they would need to be dealt with before they build up too many nukes.

Likewise it still does not address the issue of how to pay for such a Military, which needs to be big enough to properly enforce the charter worldwide.
