I've recently stumbled upon a blog similar to Strange Maps, but featuring only maps of Poland. Lots of humor might be lost on non-Poles, but I'll post a link anyway:

MOLOBO is alone in the room.

He walks over to the wall of maps and begins slowly running his hands over them and then caressing one of the maps – this one showing Poland as occupying virtually the entire world – for a few moments before shutting his eyes for a few seconds in ecstasy.

Still, according to "Mapsiah" this blog might be used to calibrate the Mercator's engines :
