Let's say that Stepan Bandera https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stepan_Bandera survives all KGB assassination attempts. At the age of 82, he returns to now-independent Ukraine. What role can he play there politically?

My guess is that he will be no more than a figurehead leader of the nationalists--younger men who had stayed in Ukraine will have the real power in the movement. Even so, his return is not going to help Ukrainian-Polish relations...
