States' Expansion under Articles of Confederation

Various history books I read as a youth showed states expanding just by extending their boundaries westward. Connecticut would go into Pennsylvania; North Carolina would occupy Tennessee, etc. Presumably this would ultimately extend to the Pacific. Has anyone ever constructed a map of this concept? Fortunately, wiser concepts prevailed.

I did a few before I cam on here, but there were deleted or lost when my old comp crashed......I can make a new one, if you want.....
Also,I would say that only the larger colony had a snowballs chance in hell of expanding westward,I just dont see CT,NJ,DE, etc getting western territory....

Not all states had western claims. Virginia, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, the Carolinas, and Georgia did, the others didn't. But there were also numerous border disputes between the states.
