Stanley McChrystal Running for President in 2012

I used to listen to conservative talk shows to hear their arguments and when General Stanley McChrystal criticized President Barack Obama in a Rolling Stones interview in 2010, the talk show hosts heaped praise onto him and suggested that he should be president. What if McChrystal was ambitious enough to run for the Republican Party Presidential nomination in 2012? Is there a way to make him be seen as 'the new Eisenhower'?

Probably turns out like Wesley Clark, i.e. lot of praise and support initially, but whose inexperience politically results in most of slipping away.

Might do well enough to become Romney's (or whoever they nominate instead) running-mate.
