Stanley Baker as James Bond?

In 1961 Baker was offered the role of superspy James Bond for the forthcoming film Dr. No, but he turned it down because he was unwilling to commit to a three-picture contract.
I suppose the question is, what if he didn't turn it down? He accepts a three picture contract or Broccoli doesn't put out a multi-film contract.

How does this effect the franchise, or is there even a Bond franchise if Baker and not Connery takes the lead, and is it merely just a film/entertainment footnote of the 1960s rather than an enduring pop-culture icon? Or does Baker become one of the most identifiable cultural icons of Western cinema?

I think that with Baker the movie would be a good success.
So is probable that were others movies (From "Russia with love","Goldfinger" for sure).
But without Connery, James Bond would not become a pop cultural icon.
In my opinion Baker would leave after the second or third movie.
So no more Bond movies or probably Roger Moore as James Bond in 1965-1966.
Sean Connery would not become a big star.

Another possible alternate Bond for an one shot Movie in 1959-60(probably "Casino Royal" or "From Russia with love"):
