Stalin Dies in 1941

What if Josef Stalin just as Operation Barabossa began died in a car accident?

So, during the time he had a nervous breakdown?

I think Molotov or Beria would take over the country--but whatever happens, if political divisions suddenly appear at the top of the Soviet Union the Red Army might be badly impacted. The resolution of who takes power is going to be a critical issue...

Beria and Molotov both would make a bid for leadership as indicated earlier, and more than likely wouldn't accept the other as leader no matter the circumstances.

That thrown in with a full scale German invasion can mean nothing good for the Soviet Union. Stalin was the glue that was holding the Red Army together during that time.
