Sparticus

What would happen if Sparticus defeated the Romans? Would there be a less dictatorial system, or what? I'd imagine an end to slavery, more social equality, etc.

What do you think?

What do you mean by defeat? If you mean by replacing the Roman government it's impossible.

Or to Sicily, as was the plan.
Or, rather, if he and his men had not looped around south after reaching Transalpine Gaul...they probably could have made it into the free lands of the Celtic and Germanic tribes. Gotten away with it scot-free.

Heck, maybe he could've enthralled Celtic and Germanic leaders with his tale, and helped start some kind of inter-tribal cooperation between the two groups, which might lead to more stiff resistance to Caesar in Gaul and such. But, that's about the most of it- no sack of Rome and restructuring of Italy. Damn near impossible by this point.

Good scenario. He heads into Gaul and unites the tribes against Rome! Lets for a second screw plausibility, and think of what WOULD happen if Sparticus overthrew rome.

Well, if we screw plausibility, then Spartacus obviously sets up a networkl of united tribes in Europe and introduces delegsate representation at its Althing. Then, under the red and white striped banner of the slave rebellion (symbolising innocence and blood, the pattern chosen to reflect the stripes of the whip on the labouring back), they conquer Greece and the East to liberate suffering humanity. Spartacus, re-elected consul throughout his life, dies after the fall of Egypt, but his elected successors continue the tradition, adding ever new liberated territory to the realm of freedom and a silver star to the blue top of the flag for each victory. By the time Christ is born, their armies have reached China. In 45 AD, Jesus is elected their consul.

ROFLMAO!!! That's good, Carlton. Harry Harrison would be proud. :D

Actually the plan was to move to Sicily where the pirates would transport them to Spain and he would have joined Sertorius there.... But everything went wrong... Pirates betrayed them and Sertorius was assassinated...
If Spartacus had joined Sertorius there is a chance that u can replace the Roman Government...
