Spain in the 2nd Coalition

Just a random thought, assume that Spain does not take its pro-France turn and remains allied with Britain in the 2nd coalition. Do they add any measure of strength to the allies against the French republic. Can they make a difference of any kind?

any thoughts appreciated. Specifically is it possible to restore the Royalists to power with the added Spanish forces and their diplomatic influence.

I think it may be possible given it was a decision made very high up, i think by Godoy. I doubt however that Spain's help would have restored the Royalists- the French at that time were at the top of their game.

Remember that this is prior to napoleon's coup, and prior to that the Republic did indeed have the chance of falling to a restored monarchy..this 1795-1800 after all. the republican forces did make some gains onland but the republic itself is still riven by pockets of royalist dissent.
