What happened to my home country or I mean the Philippines? Is the Philippines still under democratic government or any other?
The Phillippines was governed over by MacArthur until 1954, so that alone should give you some idea of what it was like. They were denied independence because of the threat of Mao Zedong until '62.
America promised the Philippines independence in 1962, but due to the war effort in Vietnam, the proximity of the Philippines to the growing Vietnamese crisis was considered too valuable. Philippine Nationalists organized and overthrew the American Proxy Government in Manila. In response, President JFK funded Islamic Extremists in Mindanao, promising them a Muslim Mindanao-based Proxy Government if they could successfully overthrow the "Manila Republic."
The Islamic Republic of Mindanao and the USA successfully put down the rebellion, though it cost many American Lives.
The Philippines and Mindanao only achieved independence when America went through the Second American Civil War in 1979.
Since then, the founder of the Manila Republic's son, Prudencià Cuyàs, became president. The current president of the Philipines is Estevão Cavalcanti Magalhães, a son of a Brazilian Immigrant.
Mindanao has been ruled by the Al-Santarini dynasty since it's founding, the current
Rayiys being Mubarak Ibn Tammam Farraj Masud Al-Santarini.
