Soviet Victory: A poorly titled timeline.

Hi AH community!

I've been working on this over on the Maps and Graphics, but it occured to me it would make more sense here. The rough Idea is that America doesn't pull out of the Veitnam War, and the Soviet Union acheives reforms to make it not so, well, stalinistic

If you want some answers to some questions, head on over to Maps and Graphics and check out some of the questions on there. If your question hasn't been answered, than feel free to ask!

EDIT: Well, for some godforsaken reason it won't let me upload it here. Head to Maps and Graphics and search for the thread "Soviet Victory"

Unfortunately this doesn't make sense. For a Soviet Domination of most of the world, they'd need to be more not less Stalinist. Otherwise how would they control the rebellious lot they've just conquered?
Please explain further.

"This doesn't make sense" is just the beginning.

There's way too much unnecessary Balkanization, for one, and it's not even sensible. I'm personally not a fan of the whole shtick people have with "in a reverse Cold War victory, the US must be Balkanized just like the USSR was", as if all, or even any, of the things which made the USSR fall apart into it's constituent republics would exist even in a defeated USA. England, Turkey and Japan being dissolved is even less sensible.

If the POD is the Vietnam War, then why are Poland, Czechoslovakia and East Germany constituent republics of the Soviet Union?

Hell, if I understand your map right... are Poland and East Germany parts of the Russian SFSR?..

There's also too much similar shade red in Europe.

you need a lot of explanation for this idea.
