Soviet-Japan WI

What if one of the things negotiated in the Non-Aggression Pact was to sell Japan oil? Would Russia have enough oil to maintain its forces and continue to sell oil to Japan for high profits after Barbarossa? That would potentially greatly weaken the case for attacking US interests and would get hard currency in Soviet hands as they’re arming up.

This seems rather interesting, although I think the sale would come to a halt after Barbarossa. I wonder whether it would cause Mao to dislike Stalin though. The KMT was supported by the Soviet Union, so the Soviets would be playing both sides if they did sell oil to Japan.
