Sources on 11th century Saxon England?

So as part of my New Years resolution I have decided to restart my abortive attempt last year to make a timeline about a continuing Anglo-Saxon England. Unfortunately I really don't know how to find sources on this kind of thing (me being only a neophyte in the timeline writing business). So yeah how would I find sources on this period in history specifically about the religious customs of the time, government structure and who holds what titles (I doubt crusader kings 2 + is a particularly good source there). I kind of need to do it cheaply (I'm broke) so online or torrented sources are preferable.

Google books is your best friend.

Err...Usually the complete books in GB are really, REALLY outdated. Maybe you'll find something useful one time or another, but the main part....

Jstor, on the other hand....

For Late Saxon England, then...

I found that a while ago about familial structures.

Maybe you should take a look at this: "The Church in Anglo-Saxon Society" of John Blair, considering the importance the Church had in the X-XI century compared to earlier times.

You'll most probably have to study vikings raids in England, as it was THE geopolitical factor for understanding Saxon kings policies.

Hmm, it's gonna be difficult coming up with how they run themselves when that threat goes away.

Even when the norse threat disappears, you're going to have at least for a while rests and traces of these policies.

I'm thinking here to the great local autonomy from saxons lords, the military role of the king exacerbated (at the depense of his "justicial" and "institutional" role), etc.
