Some Flag Questions

1. Sicily
During the Napoleonic period, French-dominated governments ruled Naples as a separate kingdom (eg Joseph Bonaparte as king, then Murat as king), whilst Sicily remained free of it, under the protection of the British navy.

Did the rulers of Sicily simply continue to use the Two Sicilies flag, since they maintained their right to rule Naples as well? Or, because they were essentially in exile in Sicily, did they use a Sicilian flag?

2. Sardinia
Similar question, since the Savoyard dynasty was also kept independent in Sardinia by the British fleet, whilst their mainland possessions fell under French rule. What flag was flown by the king effectively in exile ?

doesn't help since the period 1802-1816 is blank! Would you assume the pre-1802 flag was still the one used by the king when he was ruler of the island only?

3. Italy
I seem to have an answer for this one!

Russia

What flag was Russia using in the Napoleonic period? I've found Wiki and FOTW surprisingly unhelpful here. Its also a confusion that the two Victoria games has been bugging me with - the original "Victoria An Empire Under The Sun" used the modern tricolor flag, whereas "Victoria II" uses a black-and-yellow flag. Which one is correct for the period in question?

The tricolor is in use since the early 18th century (1705) as a merchant flag and became the official state flag in 1883. The black-yellow-white tricolor was adopted in 1853 as the first state flag and had the same status once now used flag was adopted.

Before that it seems there were no state flags for Russia. The tsar's flag was instead used: A double-headed black eagle with the Muscovite crest on his chest on a golden field.

(all of this info is based on what I found on crwflags.com)
