Miguel Lopez de Legaspi

Verse 1

On 1570-71, Tarik Sulayman of Macabebe refused to submit in to the spanish but he is never bothered to fight with the Spanish and let the Tondo and other Bruneian vassals to fall to the Spanish and don't ally with Rajah Sulayman due to his friends and allies in the north like King Kasikis of Kaboloan due to them being descendants of Bolkiah who sacked Tondo and instead they should ally amongst themselves and don't help Rajah Sulayman and let him fall to the Spanish, the north have developed an apathy to the south but the desire of regaining the lands lost to the Bruneian Heirs like Rajah Sulayman would remain lands taken by Nakhoda Ragam, Princess Kandarapa's betrothal to one of the Saludongese nobles fell apart in 1570 and the break of the betrothal would also be another reason of the apathy of Tarik Sulayman to Rajah Sulayman despite the treatment of the Spanish to the people in Manila, the betrothal did not happen because the other nobles of Saludong like Kasikis said that the Bruneians would never be trusted.

When Lopez de Legazpi died in 1572, his successor, Governor-General Guido de Lavezaris, did not honour their agreements with Sulayman and Lakan Dula. He sequestered the properties of both kings and tolerated Spanish atrocities, however the friars and Juan de Salcedo would easily be able negotiate peace with them, Salcedo marries Dayang Kandarapa.

On the Chinese attacks of Limahong on 1574, Kasikis and his fellows were able to negotiate with Limahong to go back to Manila after Limahong had been defeated by Don Gallo and Tarik, Balagtas and Kasikis would defeat Limahong and later would negotiate with Limahong to continue to hammer the South and help them destroy the settlements by Salcedo in Ilocos, afterwards, Limahong and the troops the Kingdoms of Sapa and Kaboloan and the other warriors of the Majapahitan Saludong which included their leaders such as Kasikis and Tarik would destroy the Spanish settlements in Ilocos which are ruled by Juan de Salcedo in 1575, afterwards Limahong would continue to hammer the South which made the nobility in Meycauayan and Manila ally with the Spanish but Tarik Soliman and the other nobles of Saludong would remain strong and unconquerable to the Spanish due to them being able to organize and remain united.

Limahong would sack Manila on 1576 causing the Spanish to shift the capital back to Cebu, although the Manila was later rebuilt later on as a port, it would not regain its prominence or what should it be.[1]

1. The capital of the Colony is shifted back to Cebu or Sugbu due to Manila being Sacked.

Isabella Clara Eugenia, Queen of Portugal

Verse 2

According to the annals of the Spanish in the indies and the official history, the savages from the island of Luzon sacked the settlements in Ilocos in 1575 that are started by Juan de Salcedo and Limahong sacked the city of Manila on 1576 causing the capital of the colony to transfer back to Cebu.

On 1577, Sebastian of Portugal offered himself to Isabella Clara Eugenia of Spain who is the daughter of Philip II from Elizabeth of Valois, Philip II of Spain would accept this marriage and Sebastian realized that a crusade against the moors might cause a dynastic dispute in Portugal and instead chose his betrothal with Isabella and him having children as his own priority rather than the crusade.

On 1576, Troops from Java(Mataram and Demak) and Saludong(Kaboloan, Sapa and the others in the formerly Saludong) would sieze the towns of Maluslos, Kalumpit and Kandaba from the Spanish and their local Bornean allies, led by Kasikis and Tarik Sulayman the towns of Meycauayan and Tondo is also captured but the Spanish will regain Meycauyan and Tondo after they defeated the troops there, later on 1577 Limahong would also try to establish Manila as the capital of his Kingdom after his sack of Manila but the Spanish would defeat Limahong sending him to the Ming in order to send Limahong to prison, the Spanish would record the war with the Javanese and Saludong as the Savages joined with the Javanese occupying four towns in Manila bay and the Savages would retain the towns of Candava, Calonpite and Malolos.

A Part of the Intramuros wall
Verse 3

On 1580, Infanta Isabella Clara Eugenia marries Sebastian I of Portugal, she would be crowned as queen afterwards.

The Spanish would renovate the city of Manila however Cebu is established as capital of the Philippines the armies of Saludong would continue to cooperate with the Moros in the south against the Spanish, the Spanish would retain Manila, Tondo and Meycauayan and protect it against from the people that they call as savage infidels.

The Spanish would realize that the land of Saludong is not worthy to conquer due to it being barren and decide to permanently transfer the capital of the Philippines or Filipinas to Sugbu, the Spanish would describe the people of Saludong as savages and infidel.

The Spanish would reinforce Cebu against the possible invading forces of the muslims from the South and the other revolts against them.

Manila is rebuilt as a port to China on 1580 after the sack of Limahong, the Manila-Alcapulco trade would begin, however the Spanish would choose to prioritize trade with China and build the colony of the Philippines, the Spanish would retain Bataan which is not attacked by the Saludongese due to it being unimportant to them and the Spanish also conquered it from the Bornean scions in Saludong the Spanish would garrison it in order to create a march to prevent the people from Saludong from marching against the Spanish and destroying their colony in Luzon or Saludong.

A Modern Painting of Magat Salamat

Verse 4

On the late 1580's the Spanish would slowly learn that the Bornean descent nobles wanted to start a revolt against the Spanish led by Agustin the Grandson of Miguel de Legaspi and the son of Lakandula and try to contact the Borneans.

The chiefs near Manila would be hating the Spanish policies after death of Lopez de Legaspi on 1572 since the Spanish would ignore their rights to their own lands Felipe Salalila (chief from Maysilo), Magat Salamat (chief of Tondo), Pedro Balinguit (chief from Pandacan), Geronimo Basi and Gabriel Tuambasan (Legazpi's brothers), Luis Amanicalao and his son Calao, Felipe Salonga (chief of Polo), Felipe Amarlangagui (chief of Catangalan), Francisco Acta (another chief from Tondo), and Omaghicon would organize this revolt against the Spanish.

The conspirators would talk to the Japanese and Borneans to help them in their revolt against the Spanish, the Bornean scions would enlist the help of the chiefs from Kumintang and Laguna which are against the Spanish due to the friar abuses and they would go to Brunei, however the Spanish would hear of this revolt and were able to defeat the rebels in 1590 with the Bornean and Japanese ships that aided them with the use of the Spanish armada, the survivors are forced to be loyal to the Spanish but Felipe Salalila is exiled to Mexico.

The Saludongese would sigh and laugh at the demise of their longtime enemy in the South, the Borneans and Lucoes their enemies spawned from Kumintang and Borneans led by Nakhoda Ragam who sacked Tondo.

Verse 5

On 1580's Salcedo would describe the people of Saludong or Northern Luzon as infidel savages and they would not waste any time on trying to conquer them on the annals of the Spanish in the Philippines.

Salcedo would be quoted on the records of the Spanish indies regarding Mexico that the people of Northern Luzon or Saludong had destroyed the settlements on Ylocos and that the people there would never accept Christianity as the religion.

Juan de Salcedo would be quoted this

"The infidel and savage people of Northern Luzon destroyed the Spanish missions and colonization on Ylocos and they would never accept christianity as their religion."

Salcedo would also meet again with his wife the niece of Lakandula, Kandarapa after the destruction of the missions in Saludong or in Northern Luzon in 1576 after his defeat, so the loss of the settlements of Ylocos was a blessing in disguise to him.

Salcedo would love Kandarapa very much and would have lots of children with Princess Kandarapa.

On 1583, Isabella Clara Eugenia gives birth to a son to the King of Portugal, Sebastian named Afonso on June 4, 1583, the god fathers would be the King of France and Spain.

Philip II would see that not completely conquering the Philippines would be a positive development and the Spanish would not pursue conquering Saludong anymore, the north would promise neutrality and would welcome missionaries from the Portuguese and the Spanish.

Mindanao Vintas

Verse 6

On 1580's the Spanish would fortify the cities of Manila in the North and Sugbu and Zamboanga in the South with Sugbu as the most fortfied, the Family of Kandarapa and Juan de Salcedo would be given a title, while the people of Saludong are left alone by the Spanish.

On the mid 1580's the Spanish would restore their own cities in Saludong in Ylocos which are Laoag and Vigan and the other parts of Ylocos would be under the Spanish as well, aside from that the Ottomans and the Acehnese would be interested in Saludong spreading their brand of Islam in Saludong in Makabebe(Mouth of the Pampanga river) and Faru(mouth of the Kagayan River) where they strengthen the Muslim community, the Acehnese and Ottomans would also spread their brand of Islam in Mindanao as well in the same time which would strengthen Islam in these two areas.

Both the Muslims and Pagans in Saludong would never convert to Catholicism even if the missionaries are welcomed again except the people from Ylocos who had some of its population already converted to Catholicism when Salcedo established settlements, the people of Ylocos or Ilocos would be under the Spanish, the Muslim community of the area of Faru and Makabebe would become stronger at this point under their muslim leader , who is the leader of the Muslim community in Saludong while the Kingdom of Saludong(Sapa)(Centered in Upper Cagayan and Pampanga river) and Kaboloan(Centered in Agno) would remain fiercely Hindu, the Muslim Sultanate and Hindu Kingdoms would remain defacto united as one with the Kingdom of Saludong and Saludong Sultanate both having dominance in Saludong.

Verse 7

The Spanish would fully consolidate their rule in Southern Luzon and Ylocos in Northern Luzon and Zamboanga Peninsula on the latter part of 1580's and early 1590's.

The Kingdom of Caboloan and its people would push the Ilocanos from the three southernmost towns of Ilocos in late 1580 which are gained by Kaboloan were Bangar, Balaoan, Namacpacan, the other towns of Ylocos would be completely christianized by 1595 and Ylocos is established as a province of the Philippines in 1595, Caboloan would have Muslim population in its port areas which trades with Japan which is under the Sultanate of Saludong, Ilocos is bordered by Kaboloan and Faru.

The Spanish Philippines would be ruled by the Spanish from Mexico which would operate the Manila-Alcapulco trade, the Adversaries of the Spanish in theb Philippines would be the Moros and Pagans in the North and the South.

The Port Towns of Caboloan, the areas of Faru and Makabebe would be primarily muslim by 1590's under the Sultan of Saludong, the Sultan of Saludong would rule the muslims of Saludong, the Muslims would double their population due to the islamic policy of Polygamy.

On the South in Mindanao, the Muslim pirates would continue to raid the coastal towns of Visayas like in the Prehispanic period and Southern Luzon which would continue to have some muslim population in the areas occupied by the Muslim pirates, the Spanish would also fail in their plans to create a colony in Manado, although they were able to make one in Ternate.
