How would you suggest ethnic relations would work in an expanded USSR. Apparently the thre main ethnic tensions in the soviet army were between slavic peoples, central asians and caucausian peoples. the caucasian people and central asians were apparently cool with each other due to largely being Muslims. Do you think there might be a difference, if say Afghanistan, Iran & parts of PAkistan were in the USSR from the founding.
Would you see Slavic people, Turkic People, Iranic People, AND then Caucasian people as main ethnic 'nodes' in the soviet military? Or would you still see more of a Slavic Orthodox vs Muslim of Sunni AND Shi'a sect unite in being 'muslim' culturally or w/e as opposed to Russians and othr Slavs
