Soccer AHC/WI: The transfer price bubble doesn't inflate as much

How could the ongoing trend of more money being circulated in soccer (football for Europeans) be stopped or prevented, so as to make transfer fees and wages of players more humble?

Take a leaf from American football. No transfer fees only contracts.

Constrain the "transfer" window (where new contracts may be signed) to the off season only (no insane rush in mid season to buy players to prevent relegation)

It won't limit player wages but it will reduce transfer / compensation payments.

It effectively works this way for soccer managers - it's fairly rare for soccer managers to be poached in a season and the compensation tends to be for the remaining contract value to their club.

The players get paid big bucks because we (or the sponsors / advertisers) are prepared to finance them. You would have to limit the price you could sell the rights (viewing and advertising) to limit the money in the game and the EU would be unlikely to regard that favourable (restraint of trade).
