So if no ww1

What if there was no ww1, would have Ireland devices into a civil war could have the UK put a stop to it, unlike what happens in OTL whare ww1 weekend the UK to the point where they had no choose but to let Ireland go.

With no WWI the Home Rule would have been enacted, the Ulster Volunteer Force wouldn't have enlisted en masse and been butchered in France and Britain wouldn't have been brock and war weary. If, and it's a big if there'd been a rising then it would have been put down.

Interestingly, this might lead to home rule in Scotland as well, and with it a push towards federalism in the UK. That might spur a movement towards federalising the Empire, which would allow it to remain one of, if not the, most powerful states into the 21st Century. Part of the reason for the 1916 risings was that most loyalist Irishmen had enlisted in the British Army and were off dying in the trenches. Without the war, I'd still expect a fair bit of terrorism and some unrest in Northern Ireland, but not as bad as OTL.
