SMS Grosser Kurfurst never sinks

I'm not an expert on early Imperial German naval priorities, but I seriously doubt that the survival of one armored ship in the early Imperial navy would affect events in the subsequent growth of the German navy one way or another. The decision to expand the German fleet and challenge Britain had to to with the priorities and megalomania of Von Tirpitz and Willhelm II. I suspect this would occur regardless of what happened to Grosser Kurfurst.

The decision to expand the German Fleet predates both von Tirpitz and Wilhelm II. Tirpitz was a late convert to the idea, but he would never let that be said. For Wilhelm's sake he is just picking up where both his father and grandfather left off.
