Smaller Morisco Revolt?

Hey Guys,

IOTL the Morisco Revolt was organised by Ferag ben Ferag and Diego Lopez Ben Abu, these two men were very effective organisers and, according to Wikipedia, they "carefully estimated the feelings of the people of the Alpujarras, where the best stand could be made against the Spanish forces, solicited aid from the kings of North Africa, and persuaded local bandits to embrace their cause".

So my basic question is, what if they hadn't been such good organisers? The numbers of rebels in the initial year was 4,000, but what if this had been less and so had been easily defeated by the Hapsburg's, thus the Revolt doesn't go on for 3 years, instead it only manages a few months (or something along those lines).

What would the affects of this be on the Hapsburgs and the Moriscos?

Well they probably would have been seen as less of a threat and might not have been mass deported.

The Moriscos were alredy really troublesome and rejected the royal authority, forming an informal "state within the state". Little caring about the size of the revolt, it would be the perfect pretext to send them elsewhere.
