Lets say that the Russians don't start mobilizing until the Austrians actually invade and take Belgrade so no immediate German trigger happens (POD July 29 1914). However nothing actually cools down, the Austrians, partially mobilized against Serbia only, invade Serbia in force August 29 1914 and Russia starts full mobilization then, forcing German mobilization and so the war starts one month later than OTL (so the war starts early September instead of early August, but war scare has been present for the whole time).
Would this slower build up to war benefit anybody, would the Germans be able to crash import strategic supplies, bring merchants home, fit out more merchant raiders, stockpile the colonies.
Would the shorter campaign season affect the results?
Would Britain release the new Turkish Battleships to Turkey?
