Slightly alternate English language; Development of language in ATLs

With a POD around 1680 to 1750, English would develop pretty similarly enough to OTL to be mutually intelligible, but with enough time to change and feel like it was from an alternate world.

Social developments, cultural developments, territorial annexations, migrations, writers, literature developments, communication changes, and even fads might cause English to change in slight ways.

For example, the word "OK", which is ubiquitous, didn't exist before the 1830s. And the names of almost every technology in the last 200 years could be different.

What are mild ways that English could change and what are some interesting depictions of an alternate English?
