Slavs don't overwhelm the Balts

Is it possible for OTL Eastern Poland, Novogrod and Belarus to remain Baltic, the POD is between the migration period and before the Teutonic knights arrive.

Actually, before, there was - or also - peoples of the finno-ugrian family of peoples/languages in this area, albeit maybe fading before the Teutonic Came...

I was asking if it is possible that the Balts are not overwhelmed by Slavs but the Balts can overwhelm the Finno-Ugric.

It could end in complex three ways game....

BTW, did you know Baltic languages are the closest parents of Slavics languages? Apparently a branch who separated late from the IE mass, and seperated later between both.
(But Finno-ugrians languages are NOT IE, albeit some think this family of languages may be the closest to IE (I do think it myself, but no prooves yet))

The Proto-Baltic and Proto-Slavic separated somewhere around the birth of Christ and there is still much debate how much of hidronomy on which the early spread of Proto-Baltic and Proto-Slavic is based actually belongs to either or is it part of the earlier tradition when the two were one language.
