Skoda T-25 Pather alternative

Given that it would have been pretty weak in an offensive role (thin armour, and the war had changed impetus), what was the point of putting a turret on it? A purely defensive vehicle in the WW2 context doesn't need one. By deleting the turret you decrease complexity by as much as 35%.

And the autoloader would have malfunctioned during regular use, that much is certain.

Something else to consider. Czech were not nearly as successful in designing medium tank as they were with light tanks. Their T-21/22 prototypes were up-designed into Hungarian Turans. Hungarians complained of more teething problems with the platform than 100 babies could have, and produced a really mediocre design. I'm not sure that it is realistic to think that Czech, who had no previous experience with medium tank, could be relied upon to design and build a tank able to meet T-34 on equal terms by 1941-1942.
