Sino US relations ITTL 21st century if the KMT won the Civil War

How would relations be between a nationalist China and the US ITTL's present day? Assuming the cold war ends with the Soviets collapsing by 1990 ITTL as well, would there still be significant military and economic friction between the 2 remaining global powers ITTL? The South China Sea I can see to be still a thorny issue considering Nationalist China claimed the whole area as well and both powers would still have clashing interests.

Not an issue as the United States did not recognize the Philippines claims to the Islands while the Nationalist government was in charge of China. The Nationalist government could easily force France and Britain to drop any claims their colonies or protectorates have over the Islands.
