Significance of Austria if they defeat Prussia

Austria has defeated Prussia. They've directly annexed Silesia, put Hapsburgs on the thrones of Duchies in Schleswig, Holstein, Westphalia, and the Rhineland, and allowed Saxony to return to its Napoleonic boundaries.

How significant a power is Austria in a world in which Vienna defeated Berlin? The reclamation of Silesia would be a big deal, and would boost the country's German population and industrial base, but it wouldn't be revolutionary.

Would Austria be condemned to its gradual decline no matter what? Could it become a significant global power?

Absolutely no. Hungary will remain a big issue but everything about Germany will change as after such defeat Prussia will be unable to rise again (at least at the level needed for uniting Germany) so either Germany will be not be united or will be united by and under Austria. The most likely option see something like OTL Germany (with Austria and Bohemia inside and Hungary outside) led by Franz Joseph, Emperor of Germany, Archduke of Austria, King of Bohemia AND King of Hungary

My understanding is Austria wanted dominance of Germany but not unification of Germany into a single state.

I can imagine the German Confederation expelling rump Prussia and changing over time to be more consolidated. A joint foreign-policy, currency union, more to be demanded of the constituent entities with regards to handing money over to the President of the Confederation (the Austrian Emperor), more coordination and integration of the various militaries, more demanded of each german state militarily, etc.

Austria - Germany would have 105 million people. I wonder who they would align with diplomatically. Certainly not France, who would be threatened by Austria here.

If Austria defeats Prussia, might Spain pick a Hapsburg Monarch during the glorious revolution? Or perhaps France won't bother to oppose a Hohenzollern on the Spanish throne if Prussia is neutered.
