Siege of Acre, 1189-1191

WI: The siege of Acre fails. The crusaders under Richard of England do not recapture it. The army had already suffered from a serious disease outbreak. In this scenario, it is much worse, and causes most of the survivors to go home. Would this effectively end major expeditions to the east and allow the Muslims to easily pick off the remaining crusader states?

Most of the Outremer nobles relocate to Cyprus, the others go home. These discontented, dispossessed nobles raise support for a new Crusade (possibly just as a means to get rid of them). Next Crusade is launched from Cyprus after Saladins death. How organized/strong were Saladins successors?

Also, something like the Sixth Crusade could still happen.
