Seven Years War WI?

What if Britain had received all of New France, (Quebec and Louisiana), in the Seven Years war. With out the French to sell it to the Americans later, woud the territory be a blocker to the US? Even before this how does this effect the war of 1812, or the Revolutionary war?

Interesting OP and POD. I think this might force the U.S. to look west as well as north. It's possible the U.S. takes Louisiana from the British. I wonder if this makes the battle of New Orleans pivotal. I recall seeing a documentary about the Louisiana purchase territory which said there were few French, let alone French officials or military, in the area while it was part of their empire.

Could there still be a Louisiana purchase, just with the US and Britain instead of France? Because looking at a map, you would think that trying to govern such a large area would be very difficult for the British. Also, who's to say that New France wouldn't change hands again between the Seven years war and the War of 1812? Colonies changed ownership fairly frequently.

I bit doubt that UK would be willingful sell Louisiana for United States.

Wouldn't the extremely unpopulated Louisiana purchase be rather easy for the Americans to take? (As in send several hundred troops to one of the handful of towns and just switch the flag) The British might be inclined just to sell it in the peace treaty.

Parts of New France maybe but Louisiana itself? Doubt it.

I doubt the Revolution would happen. The colonists would know they couldn't take New Orleans and thus their future prosperity would always be dependent on the British. In such an environment, it would make sense to come to an arrangement with London.

If Great Britain receives all of New France, I don't think that there would be a USA.

Remember, after the Seven Years' War, Great Britain didn't know where to send all the extra soldiers, so OTL, they just placed them in the colonies. However, with all this new extra territory in Louisiana, the soldiers will likely get placed in Louisiana, to patrol the frontiers and the borders.

Moreover, the colonists now have more room to expand then OTL. While the lands west of the Appellation Mountains will still be out of bounds, aspiring colonists will probably go around to Louisiana and settle there.
