I just ran across a bit I didn't know that reminded me of the recent WI Mr. Hooper's death was badly handled thread.
Northern Calloway, the actor who portrayed the character David from 1971 until 1989, had very serious mental issues that led to his dismissal from the show.
So, what if, after all the clamour about how well Mr. Hooper's death was handled, the producers decided to work in an open and frank discussion of the actor's mental illness in a similar way? I suspect it'd be a lot harder and that it would most likely be done very badly.
Thoughts and ideas?
