Serbian Claimant to Hungary

Vladislav was the son of Serbian King Dragutin and Katharine dr of Stephan V of Hungary. As such he was one of the claimants to the Hungarian throne in 1301 but lost out due to having to defend his claims to Serbia with his uncles and cousins.

So what if his claim on Serbia was undisputed? Perhaps his uncle Urosh Milutin is never born and Vladislav is recognised as Dragutin's heir.

How do the other claimants Waclaw II of Bohemia, I of Poland; Charles Anjou of Naples; and Otto III of Lower Bavaria react to a stronger Serbian claim?

Could Vladislav become King of Hungary?

Umm at this point Serbia was strong but.... One question to take Hungarian throne He needs to go to war. Tell me how can Serbia stand up to the juggernaut that is Hungary in this time period. to the Hungarians the Serbian army was weak. Hecan claim the throne but I doubt he can become kong. Plus he is orthodox not catholic.

At that point Hungary is no juggernaut. It took Charles of Anjou and his son Louis to turn it into one breaking the power of the local magnates.
I understand your point re orthodox vs catholic but at that time the Serbian Orthodox Church was practically indistinguishable from the Croatian and Bosnian Catholic Church in language and ritual. And IIRC the Serbian Crown was bestowed by the Pope originally too.

So can Urosh obtain enough support from the independent Hungarian, Slovakian, Croatian, Bosnian, and Transylvanian magnates to war against any other claimant? That is would he be seen as strong enough that a magnate would think him worth allying with but weak enough not to erode the magnate's own power?
I think he has enough family ties with the Bosnian Ban to get his support.
The Northern Hungarian (ie Slovakian) magnates would probably still back Waclaw.
The Transylvanian Ban/Voivode would likely remain aloof as OTL.
So we're left with the Croatian and Eastern Hungarian Magnates.
Would they support Charles or Urosh?

A possibility is that Urosh faces Charles but loses so bringing Serbia in under Hungarian suzerainty, forestalling the Serbian Empire and giving the Rhoman Empire some respite in the north.
