Okay, so the Super famicom is rushed into production, with many flaws and a tendency to freeze. The Game boy is plauged by similar problems. The Sega Game Gear doesn't drain batteries as much as in OTL, and soon becomes THE handheld. The vast majority of third party games jump on the sega band wagon. The Sonic cult is even larger than OTL, with marketing putting his image on everything from T-shirts to MacDonalds glasses. Sega disides not to go with 32x and Sega CD add-ons, and goes instead with a new 32 bit disk baised system similar to the original sony playstation, but with a slot for backwards compatibility with the genesis games in late 1993. In that same year nintendo files for bankrupcy, and by late 1994, Sega merges with Nintendo. Sony playstation is still released, and for the rest of the 1990s, it's Sega/Nintendo vs Sony. What is the rest of video game history like now?
