I got this idea (kind of) from reading Thande's videogame timeline.

Takashi Iizuka sat up in his chair.
"Holy fucking shit." He panned back to the start of the video and sucked hard on his packet of drinkable prune yogurt. The promo played again. He picked up the phone at his desk and made a phone call that would change the industry.
2 months later...
John Riccitiello prickled at the question. "They're offering how much?"
"45 Million. For DICE and all it's associated trademarks, concepts, etc. They want this clean and legal."
"It sounds suspicious... but that's a lot of money. A lot of money for an unproven franchise. And it's already been approved by DICE?" His assistant nodded his head. "That's good because I'm sure as hell selling at that price. That's almost twice as much as we paid for the company!" He picked up the number, which appeared to have been scrawled most hastily by his Sega counterpart on a Post-It note. He dialed.
"Hello, Mr. Riccitiello. I've been expecting your call." The man on the other end of the line had a thick accent.
"I have just one demand, Hajime-san. I want 60 million." There was a long pause.
"Done!" The phone hang up. John Riccitiello smiled. He really shouldn't have.

Obviously, I'm making Sega turn the concept of Mirror's Edge into a new sort of 3D Sonic game. No were-hogs, no guns, nothing like that. Just simple-to-control super-fast free running. Will it work?
