Sega 64

"At the heart of the [Project Reality] system will be a version of the MIPS(r) Multimedia Engine, a chip-set consisting of a 64-bit MIPS RISC microprocessor, a graphics co-processor chip and Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs)." "The product, which will be developed specifically for Sega, will be unveiled in arcades in 1994, and will be available for home use by late 1995. The target U.S. price for the home system is below $250." "For the first time, leading-edge MIPS RISC microprocessor technology will be used in the video entertainment industry [and already] powers computers ranging from PCs to supercomputers."

I might go on, if there'll be enough interest in this.

In OTL, several unresolved hardware issues made Sega decide against SGI's design; what if SGI had solved said issues before the meeting with Sega? :p

Perkele. :(

Don't be discouraged. Seeing Sega with SGI hardware with a 1993 POD is still an interesting potential TL, could definitely make the fifth-generation a lot more interesting than a Playstation stomp. Keep going. ^_^

Perkele. :(

Sorry again if was rude, need syrup for that coughing, again butterflies with ceteris paribus, if Sega manage to used SGI chips for both Console and maybe Arcade(butterfly away models, early NAOMI like machine?) would be interesting.

The question is what will use nintendo isntead, and sony is coming too, explore that too.

The question is what will use Nintendo instead, and Sony is coming too, explore that too.

I was going to make Nintendo and Sony join forces, but then your TL happened. :p

"The Nintendo 32 call was made in early January [1994]" "The Sega Saturn had a 64-bit hardware, the Sony 3DO had a superior 32-bit hardware to ours; we thought we'd lost the console war before it even began." "Online gaming is what prevented the Nintendo 32 from being a complete failure; thank Game Freak for Pokémon 32..."

The 3DO Company actually tried to sell their hardware to Sony, but Sony refused, since they were working on the PlayStation. With the pimped Sega Saturn on the horizon, Sony decides to give Trip Hawkins a chance but, in the end, ATL's 3DO will resemble our PlayStation much more than OTL's 3DO, with only one noticeable difference: Electronic Arts will be a second-party developer for Sony, in the console market at least. The Nintendo 32 is a 32-bit version of the Nintendo 64 with the disk drive and online capabilities of the 64DD and yes, Pokémon 32 is exactly what it sounds like: should I post a review of it when the time (1997, more or less) will come? :p

Umm Interesting again why with 3DO company, sony otl do it well alone but well, at least Nintendo and SEGA will assemble Nintendo and Sega sports early and will not dismanteled as otl. Again your call fella.

Umm Interesting, so Integrated 64DD with Online since day one, Goldeneye will be gold in that system, the same for perfect dark and mario kart, and a mainline pokemon in console, want to see how that unfold

Soo this dead... or...

Because it would suck if it was dead... sounded like good idea. :(
