Britain would scoop up German colonies, but otherwise not much would happen as neither could directly attack the other.

Britain. It can easily catch colonies and UK has bigger navy. But war would be still long when both can't invade to UK/Germany.

1. Britain takes Germany's colonies
2. Britain destroys whats left of Germany's shipping in a naval blockade but Germany would not suffer as much due to not being at war with it's neighbors.
3. As the war continues both countries seek ways to hurt each other primarily using Planes and Submarines.
4. After 3-6 years both sides reach a negotiated peace with the UK gaining several German Colonies.

Britain cannot hope to invade Germany and Germany cannot hope to invade Britain. So all that's left is that Britain would be able to take all German colonies while the German fleet will probably stay in port after one big battle which won't manage to shift the balance of sea power in Germany's favor.

Britain cannot strangle Germany in a blockade as long as all other neighbors are still trading with it. Germany meanwhile will probably fail to make its submarine counter-blockade work since Britain will be able to concentrate all its attention on that.

In other words, this is a rather pointless war that won't ever reach big dimensions. Since Britain can occupy all German colonies and destroy its merchant marine, I assume that it would eventually be seen as a British victory.

So far so good.

Planes and submarines aren't terribly effective if this were WWI era. More so, of course, if latter.

More like 1-2 years, I'd say.

Moreover, the futility of the war would be so obvious to Germany, especially (what do they have to gain? They're pretty much guaranteed to lose all colonies), so why would they go to war in the first place?
