no one's going to vote?

EDIT: I see now that people are voting, thanks for voting guys, it makes me happy you guys care enough to vote

Edwin Stanton was a Democrat, by the way.

I know, however I wanted three canadates for each party, and I could see Stanton running for the Republican nod (he did serve under a Republican president under Lincoln)

however only one independent is on the poll because I forgot to put Winfield Scott up there (who's still a voting option, just not on the poll) or figure a third independent canadate

EDIT: The race is close for the nominations, the race is getting tight,

first to 5 votes for each party gets the nomination? is that fair?

He only became a Republican after serving under Lincoln; prior to that he had been an antislavery Democrat in Buchanan's cabinet. His candidacy is ASB. Why not just have Seward, Chase, and Bates duke it out for the Republican nod?

I would like to switch my vote from Douglas to Buchanan, actually. There's no way he would have gotten the nomination if Buchanan was going to try and stay in office.
