I'm looking for a thread that I can't seem to come across in the search engine because it was a while ago and I don't remember the exact terminology used.

Basically someone asked what would be the result if Australia and South America were switched. I believe one of the responses was a well versed climactic analysis of how "North America would boil, and Europe would freeze." There was a subsequent map showing North America ending in the Malay Peninsula before the whole Indonesian Archipalego and Australia. Meanwhile Asia ended at Panama and then followed South America.

Not sure why but I've become reinterested in the idea and I'm wondering if there are other effects (there must be...) like say how does this affect the climate of the Indian Ocean with big South America in the way? Or the general climate of the Pacific (Hawaii I believe would still be in the Pacific, at the risk of being suddenly in Europe).

Anyway, I hope someone knows what I'm talking about and has actually bookmarked it.
